IAAPA Attractions Expo

IAAPA Attractions Expo 2012 - November 12 to November 16

Each year, more than 1,000 theme park industry exhibitors from around the world gather at IAAPA to display their products and services. The expo takes place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando Florida.

In addition, there are the seminars and education sessions that make IAAPA an engaging and beneficial event and really popular. Over 25,000 people attend each year.

According to IAAPA, the IAAPA Attractions Expo is "the world’s largest conference and trade show for the $24 billion worldwide attractions industry and serves as the global marketplace for the industry where the who’s who gather to learn, discuss the current trends and hot topics, test the latest innovations, sample new food and beverage creations, and develop new experiences for the future."

We spent 2 days at the expo checking out all sorts of new rides, foods, games for carnivals and fairs as well as checking out new wristbands and other products being offered to the industry.

Tyvek wristbands are still incredibly popular as an inexpensive, disposable method of securing all types of events at amusement parks, theme parks and water parks. But more and more parks are starting to use RFID technology too.
